AMEB Examinations
Page currently under construction, more information coming soon…
AMEB Examinations usually run on a weekday in the second-last week of term 3 in Geraldton.
The AMEBWA office advises of the exact date, time, and venue a couple of weeks prior.
Your child will miss a couple of hours of school in order to attend their exam, and you may need to take some time away from work or make other arrangements for their attendance.
Options also exist for students to sit their exam in Perth at other times of the year.
I do not generally advise in favour of sitting video exams, but this may be considered depending on individual circumstances.
AMEB Examinations require additional financial commitments:
Enrolment fees are due more than a month before the examination date.
If your child is learning any instrument other than piano, an accompaniment fee will also apply.
Specific additional books are required for examinations.
The AMEB will not refund fees if your child does not attend their exam. Transfer options (with a small administrative fee) may be offered by the AMEB in case of illness or withdrawal, dependent on circumstances.
